An hour to talk loss. Because it’s okay to.
This week we opened the lines to talk about the impact of losing your horse. The hardest decision for a horse owner to ever make is when is the right time to say goodbye. In some cases you may not have the chance to say goodbye, how do you deal with the loss of your best friend.
It’s ok to talk about how you are feeling whether this happened yesterday or 10 years ago, it all effects each of us differently.
This week’s #HorseHour Live is all about your stories. You have been sharing your feelings and your tweets have been humbling.
We welcome Diane from the Blue Cross Pet Bereavement Support Service who gives advice on how to try and cope with the loss of your horse. And Alex Wheeler bravely shares how she coped with losing her best friend Blackie. Plus your own stories shared.
Continue the conversation on Twitter to support others who are going through a similar situation.
We welcome Gemma from the Blue Cross onto the #HorseHour Podcast who bravely shares her own personal story of losing her horse. Join us on Twitter to support others who are going through a similar situation or if you need advice.
#HorseHour is all about supporting our equestrian community and through sharing our stories we may be able to help someone who is feeling alone and confused about how they are feeling after saying one last goodbye to their horse.
If you would like help or just someone to talk to, the Blue Cross Pet Bereavement Support Team are available to help you. Just give them a bell on the number here.
